Welcome to the new look Lyth Arts Centre! As you can see from our revamped website, we’ve been making some changes here at LAC. Alongside our growing and dynamic programme, we are starting to update our much loved spaces and building and wanted to launch a new brand to reflect our exciting vision for the future. March – June 2019 sees us jump into Spring with as diverse a programme as ever!

With plenty for theatre lovers, we’ve got shows by new and upcoming companies including UHI Drama students and Caithness Young Company, as well as contemporary restagings of classic tales like Company of Wolves Achilles and Mull Theatre’s Unspotted Snow which explores Sir John Franklin’s expedition of the North-West passage.

Music lovers are in for treat as LAC plays host to an exciting array of sounds from across the globe including Cuban jazz with Eduardo Martin and Ahmed Dickinson Càrdenas, a return visit from The Budapest Cafe Orchestra and a rare chance to see Breabach, one of the best folk bands in the business in an intimate gig.

We’re continuing our bumper programme for families – be sure not to miss the circus show for babies Little Top and lots of family workshops including animation, illustration and even a chance to try some circus skills yourself with All or Nothing.

We’re excited to be introducing more film into our programme including the best new Scottish documentaries and a new Monday Matinee film club. You’ll see we’ve also introduced some enticing culinary offers into our programme in a new partnership with Whaligoe Steps Cafe. Our outreach programme continues as we take exciting performances and gigs to village halls and community spaces across the county.

We’re sure there’s something for everyone in the upcoming months so we look forward to seeing you soon. We hope you enjoying having a look around our new shiny website and be sure to check out our new season brochure too.

Remember, you are invited.
