We’re delighted to announce our programme of events centred around the Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival (SMHAF).
Events will run from Thursday the 12th to Sunday the 22nd of October. The programme includes music from Dopey Monkey and Norman & Corrie, film screenings of Right of Way, Riptide & Lakelands plus some fun workshop opportunities including a Mindfulness Photography workshop. Most events will take place at Lyth Arts Centre but there are some locational surprises including events at Keiss Beach, Dunbeath Heritage Centre & even as far afield as Brora.
Mental Health awareness is something that we as an organisation are very passionate about so taking part in the festival means a lot.
As well as the SMHAF programme, LAC are delighted to welcome some world class classical musicians – the fantastic Trio Havisham & George Todica both play the arts centre this October.
We also have a range of events for young people including music workshops and writing workshops available at the moment so make sure to check out the LAC website for more details on these.
Most events are free to attend but all require booking – more details can be found on the LAC website here
The programme of events is supported by Creative Scotland.
