LAC are delighted to announce Thurso based digital artist, Lisa Poulsen as one of our new Caithness Artists in Residence.
Lisa will be collaborating with communities in and around Thurso to help adults and children deepen their connections to place by creating landscape art through personal stories.
Using Caithness flagstone and it’s industry and natural environment as a starting point, the project will create participant-led artworks driven by collaborative stories, experiences and memories.
Lisa graduated with a BDes Hons Degree from Edinburgh’s Napier University in 2006 and has been exploring her role as an artist professionally since 2017.
Lisa takes inspiration from the landscape of Caithness and it’s flagstone. Combining photography with digital art, her work titled ‘StoneScape’ is created digitally using photographs of Caithness stone. Through her work, Lisa aims to deepen connections between people and their natural environment.
If you are a community group working in and around Thurso and would like to find out more about opportunities to work with Lisa, please get in touch here. Find out more about CAIR here.
