LAC Young Music Makers is a diverse programme of music, movement and sound-based workshops for 0 – 12 years old in Caithness and North Sutherland.
LAC is excited to be able to confirm that we have successfully secured funding from Youth Music Initiative Access to Music Making Fund, to be able to continue our Young Music Makers programme through 2023/24
The LAC Young Music Makers is all inclusive and fully accessible to all abilities. The ethos of the group is the enjoyment, appreciation and experience of music and performance for children and young people. In a supportive and creative environment, children and young people are encouraged to have a go at a variety of musical instruments, be involved in dance, movement and sound projects, develop their musical skills and be inspired and encouraged by professional musicians and performers. The focus is on well-being, having fun, building confidence and developing their skills in music, movement, music knowledge and appreciation of many genres.
