Independent Venue Week at LAC

For the first time ever, Caithness is taking part in Independent Venue Week, a UK-wide celebration of the grassroots venues that keep live music alive.  LAC are delighted to be partnering with local music charity CAMEO on this celebration of music and culture!

Independent venues are where scenes are built and communities come together. This January, Lyth Arts Centre is throwing open its doors for an afternoon and evening of making, listening, hanging out and live music, shining a spotlight on the incredible talent and creative energy right here in Caithness.

One ticket. One venue. A whole evening of independent culture.
£18 entry gives you access to everything – afternoon activities, live music and the main gig.

Independent venues like Lyth Arts Centre are the backbone of the UK’s music ecosystem, especially in rural places. They nurture emerging artists, provide space for experimentation, and bring people together through shared cultural experiences.

This Independent Venue Week, we’re proud to say Caithness is part of the story!
