Monday, 18th April, 8pm, 2 hours including interval, age

gifted duo of young Scottish musicians presents a delightful evening of music
using an array of instruments – accordion, pipes, fiddle and banjo. Mairearad
Green, whose hometown is Achiltibuie in Wester Ross, has charmed the Lyth
audiences before as a member of Box Club and is renowned for her deft and
lyrical accordion style. This will be Anna Massie's first visit to Lyth and we
are excited to present such a skilled multi-instrumentalist.
As well as being one of Scotland's foremost guitarists, she also excels on the
fiddle, mandolin and banjo. She has played with many bands including the
Blazin' Fiddles, The Unusual Suspects , and Eddi Reader.

A great night and a full house at Lyth Arts Centre! A polished yet laid-back show from these two musicians with tunes old and new and an array of instruments beautifully played. Magic!

  2. Farquhar MacGregor says:

Excellent – Music of a high standard played by two talented ‘Highlanders’ who compliment each other so well both musically and personality wise.
