Scotland’s premier soul-funk outfit, James Brown Is Annie, head up the A9 to lay down the grooves at Lyth Arts Centre on Friday 30 November. 
 
Promoting their new, second album – produced by Average White Band legend, Hamish Stuart – fans of soul, funk, and r’n’b can expect to hear “The Tartan Special of Funk” (Alan Gorrie, Average White Band) get up on the good foot, playing funky originals, and tunes by Steely Dan, James Brown and Bill Withers. 
 
The Daily Record say “the funk is strong with these ones” while BBC Radio Scotland say the Edinburgh sextet are “one of Scotland’s top bands”.
