Corner House with support from Madame Tsunami June 15, 2018

Corner House features the talents of Virginia guitarist and singer Ethan Hawkins, Indiana mandolinist Ethan Setiawan and fiddler Louise Bichan from Orkney, Scotland. Their paths first crossed while studying at Berklee College of Music in Boston. Playing tunes and singing songs in a cozy kitchen on cold Boston snow days and a shared love of fiddle traditions from both sides of the Atlantic brought them together; American Old Time meets Scottish fiddle music. In September 2017 they gave their debut performance at Freshgrass festival in Massachusetts. This year they release their debut EP and take to the road to perform around Scotland.

Madam Tsunami are Adam and Coralie Usmani, a folk pop duo originally from New Zealand and now settled in Aberdeen, Scotland. They released ‘Long Way from Home’, their second full length album in March of 2017 to mark their move to Scotland from Auckland.  Touching on themes of nostalgia, growing older and a yearning for home, this fine collection of songs is flavoured with the musical language of Scotland and delivered with a decidedly Kiwi accent!
