This participatory audio piece will take us on a journey of appreciation of and reflection on our seas. Weaved throughout the audio are instructions for movement that relate to the environment around us e.g. turn toward the sun – can you feel it on your face? draw a line with your arm along the horizon where the sea meets the sky, place your hands on your chest and take a deep breath, breathe in the sea air – can you smell the sea?
This activity will take place at the edge of the sea. This piece encourages us to notice and experience our environment slowly and with care. We will reflect on our own relationship to this place and ask – What do we want for the future of our seas?
Please bring headphones and a device, like a smart phone, to listen to audio work. The audio will be available online and I will also have a QR code linked to the audio on the day.
