The course consists of six practical sessions with each session investigating a different approach to drawing and painting with colour. Inspiration will come from the direct observation of the world around us, from the flora and fauna of the Scottish Highlands to the landscapes and costal reaches of Caithness. Each week the works of different well-known artists will be discussed, their methods and techniques tried and the sources of inspiration that led them to create great glorious paintings of texture and colour explored.
The course can be taken as a whole or as individual sessions. The sessions will take place at Latheron Hall on the following dates and times;
