Join our CAIR artist, Joanne B Kaar, to make your own brushes using a variety of locally gathered natural materials. Then get messy with mud to experiment with mark making inspired by primitive rock art and cave paintings.
Make a variety of brushes from the very very tiny and slender, to the huge and hairy to paint small individual artworks on paper to take home, as well as a mural on a very very long sheet of paper that will be displayed at LAC. You’ll make plenty of brushes to take home, and a few to hang a few on one of the trees in the LAC garden to make an outdoor artists studio.
It will get a bit messy, so don’t wear your best clothes!
Ticket info: this workshop is for young people aged 5-18. Booking is for the participant only. Parents / carers are welcome to hang around – we’ll have the Café open!
