Emerging Creative Producer role with LAC

Do you live in Caithness and are interested in learning how to put on community events here? Do you have an interest in farming, gardening or the environment? Are you a music and culture fan? If so, then please find out more about Lyth Arts Centre’s new Emerging Creative Producer role! 

Lyth Arts Centre are looking for a talented and creative individual to work with us on a special project in 2022 called Unexpected Gardens. 

Unexpected Gardens will spring up across Scotland in unusual places in 2022. The gardens will be fun spaces to visit but will also grow herbs and vegetables for the whole community to share at a local Harvest festival. We will also host events, workshops and performances at the Unexpected Garden. 

It is part of the nationwide Dandelion project which invites people from all over Scotland to get growing, sharing and celebrating food, music and ideas with their communities.

A Creative Producer is someone who makes things happen. They have creative ideas and also have the practical skills to turn their ideas into reality. Emerging means someone with less than five years experience putting on events. The Emerging Creative Producer will come up with ideas for workshops and events for the project and with support from the LAC team, will make these happen. They will also help with the design and delivery of the LAC Unexpected Garden.
