Covid-19 Policy

Lyth Arts Centre is a Covid-secure venue, and we are following government guidance to provide the safest live performance experience for you. Please see the below information to know what we’re doing to keep audiences, artists and staff safe.

Contactless Tickets

We will send you an E-ticket before the show. These do not need to be printed or shown at events – we will have a list of all attendees. Your ticket will be sent to your email address (check your junk if you can’t see it). We will open the theatre earlier than usual to reduce the need for queuing. Please arrive promptly.

Before Your Visit

We kindly ask all members of the public attending events at LAC to take a lateral flow test before your visit. No one must attend events if they have tested positive or are showing symptoms. All LAC staff and performers will be asked to do the same.

Face Coverings

Face coverings are mandatory under Scottish government guidelines and must be worn throughout your visit unless you are exempt from doing so.  In the theatre masks must be worn for the duration of the show or film screening unless you are eating or drinking.  You can take your face-covering off when seated at a table.  All LAC staff will be wearing face coverings throughout. Free face masks will be available at box office.

Distanced Seating & Capacity in the Theatre

The live performances and events are currently on sale at 50% capacity to allow for some social distancing in the theatre. We will review this regularly and hope to increase this to 75% then eventually to full capacity. Should government guidelines change before your show, we’ll notify you by email. Please avoid queuing and creating congestion. For example, if the bar is busy please return to your seat and wait for a quieter opportunity.

Toilets

Only two people will be allowed in the toilets at a time. Please be mindful of this and return to your seat if the toilet is occupied.

Exchanges and Credit

If you cannot attend the performance because you have to isolate, just let us know and we’ll be happy to turn your ticket into credit to be used for one of our future events.

Event Cancellations

You can purchase tickets with confidence, safe in the knowledge that if we have to cancel a show due to Covid-restrictions we will happily refund you or exchange your ticket for a rescheduled date.

Sanitising Stations

We have sanitising stations, with hand sanitiser positioned all around the building

Regular Cleaning

We have an enhanced and rigorous cleaning system in our building to make sure you are as safe as possible during your visit.
