Covid-19 Policy 

Lyth Arts Centre is a Covid-secure venue, and we are following government guidance to provide the safest live performance experience for you. Please see the below information to know what we’re doing to keep audiences, artists and staff safe. 


Contactless Tickets

We will send you an E-ticket before the show. These do not need to be printed or shown at events – we will have a list of all attendees. Your ticket will be sent to your email address (check your junk if you can’t see it). 


Bubble Seating

You can only book tickets for your household, support bubble or group of no more than 5 people. Seats are grouped together and can mostly only be purchased as a set. By purchasing a ticket you are confirming that your group is from the same household or support bubble. Bubble seating is our response to government guidelines. Whilst we’d love to accommodate all variations of group size, we currently only able to sell seats in pre-booked groups so for example, if you buy a ticket and your friend buys a separate ticket, you will not be able to sit together. Please see each event for more details. 


Distanced Seating & Capacity in the Tent 

The live performances and events are on sale in accordance with the government’s current guidance. All audience members are asked to book in bubbles and will be at least 2m away from other attendees. Should government guidelines change before your show, we’ll notify you by email, where you’ll be offered the opportunity to donate or exchange your tickets or receive a refund. 


The capacity for events at the venue is: 40 

(audience capacity is set at 30, plus 10 for staff and performers)

The capacity for workshops is: 15 


Under 12’s are not counted in capacity.   


Capacity will be displayed at the venue. The event is classed as a ‘Small Event’ (under Scottish Government Guidance)



Only two people will be allowed in the toilets at a time. Please be mindful of this and return to your seat if the toilet is occupied. 


Table Service

Please do not get up to come to the bar. We are operating table service only. We will also take payment for any drinks and refreshments at your table.


Track and Trace

We will ask for your contact details when booking your tickets. Please provide us with your most current details so that we are able to provide them to the NHS Scotland Test and Protect team should we be asked. You will asked be asked to check in using the Caithness Chamber of Commerce  ProtectNorthHighlands Track and Trace app upon arrival using a QR code. If you do not have a smart phone we will take your details manually. 


Exchanges and Credit

If you cannot attend the performance because you have to isolate, just let us know and we’ll be happy to turn your ticket into credit to be used for one of our future events. 


Event Cancellations

You can purchase tickets with confidence, safe in the knowledge that if we have to cancel a show due to Covid-restrictions we will happily refund you or exchange your ticket for a rescheduled date. 


Face Coverings Required

Please ensure that you wear a face covering during your visit. You will be required to wear a face covering when not seated, moving around or when inside the building.


Sanitising Stations

We have sanitising stations, with hand sanitiser positioned all around the building


Social Distancing

We have designed and signposted one-way routes around the building. You should maintain social distancing throughout your visit. 


Regular Cleaning

We have an enhanced and rigorous cleaning system in our building to make sure you are as safe as possible during your visit.
