3 days of Graffiti workshops with illustrator and visual artist, Ursula Cheng!
Be part of this exciting three day project creating a piece of public art that will be on display in Wick. This project celebrates the Creative Futures Hub, an exciting youth led initiative that we will launch in full in 2027.
In anticipation of this project we will create artwork using graffiti art techniques that will be displayed in the window of the old electrical shop window on Whitechapel Lane in Wick.
The three days will include:
During part one of this workshop (Friday) Ursula will be guiding participants through creating designs and drawings that will become part of a large collective graffiti art piece.
During part two of this workshop (Sunday) Ursula will work with participants to turn their drawings into spray painted panels of artwork that will later be displayed in the window of a building in Wick along with Ursula’s own artwork as part of a collaborative co-created display of public art.
On each day there are two slots to choose from:
Please note: 1 booking covers both the Friday and Sunday sessions – book here
Come along to the site of LAC Creative Hub on Whitechapel road in Wick (old electrical shop) for a pop up creative workshop.
Ursula will work with participants on creating a ‘paste up’ artwork to decorate panels on the outside of the building. Paste up is a form of temporary street art using paper-based visual artworks that are ‘pasted’ to walls or surfaces using an adhesive.
Note: we will be getting messy during these workshops and spray paint will be involved. We will provide masks, gloves and aprons but please wear old clothing to these sessions.
