This Winter, Lyth Arts Centre will produce a new drive-thru festive experience for all the family to enjoy. Through a projection mapping installation, the project will share Caithness’ amazing Winter and Christmas history. Projected onto the LAC Artists House, it will use archive material and animation with audio and text. We also want to include contemporary footage from our Caithness community.
Do you have happy memories of last Christmas captured in a mobile phone video? Maybe you’ve got some film of parties past? Or perhaps an old home movie of a winter white-out in the county? Whether you’re a smart phone photographer, nativity play director, a long-time hobbyist or just got that one amazing shot of Aunty Sue dropping the Christmas pudding last year – we want to see your films!
We’re looking for good quality, high resolution films which don’t need to have audio. They also don’t need to be slick and professional. Unfortunately we can only accept digital submissions.
The videos and images will be edited together with archive footage to create a short film. The film will then be projected outdoors at Lyth Arts Centre.
