We had a lovely time this morning at Friends of Miller Academy entertaining pupils with Jango Starr's performance of One Man Shoe.

The exhibition is a special one showing a retrospective history from humble beginnings to what we are now. There will be arrangements of memorabilia of all kinds including playbills, letters, seating plans, photographs, and much more spanning the range and depth of Lyth’s presentations to the people of Caithness and beyond over the years. Join us for a performance by Hebrides Ensemble’s Huw Watkins and some of the finest young musicians from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Acclaimed pianist and composer, Huw, will be joining RCS students as part of the Ensembles’ Hebrides Academy programme, which offers expert coaching and performance opportunities to musicians and composers. This concert will mark the culmination of several days of coaching during which Huw and the students will put together a selection of repertoire including contemporary.
