Stellar Quines Theatre Company
in "Baby Baby" by Vivian French
After Last year's superlative producton of "The Unconquered", the dark and brutally funny play by Torben Betts, Stellar Quines return with an equally gripping work by Scottish writer Vivian French. David Somerville described the work as "a thought-provoking and moving play about prejudices, perceptions and parenting and how these attitudes impact on our choices in life ". www.whatsonstage.com
After the opening in Lerwick's Garrison Theatre, Rosalind Griffiths, writing in the Shetland Times, noted that "the audience was gripped from beginning to end, you could hear a pin drop".
Stellar Quines is one of the most highly regarded theatre companies in Scotland and consistantly produces theatre which not only entertains but addresses 'important contemporary issues and gives audiences something to think about. Its plays regularly transfer to the Trafalgar Studios in London's West End so this is a great opportunity to see a top quality production visiting Caithness.
The company would be delighted to meet members of the audience in a post-show discussion. Do feel free to sit around the warm fire in the foyer to exchange impressions of the play before venturing out into the February night outside.
