Music Workshops & Master classes September 19, 2010

Music Workshops & Master classes - Box ClubMusic Workshops & Master classes – Sunday, 19th Sept, 2pm, 4 hours, age 11+ (with options for total beginners!)

Box Club will be leading a day of workshops in accordion, pipes, piano, composition, guitar and bass. Participation includes workshops, supper and free seats at the evening concert with the opportunity to take part.
During the course of the afternoon, participants will work in smaller groups based on each type of instrument. One group will be for people who have had no previous experience of playing an accordion but who have wanted to "have a go" (instruments will be provided). Other groups will be more in the form of a master class for those who have already got started but wish to improve their technique. Then there will be group sessions with participants playing together as a band. The intention is to work fast enough for some if not all of the participants to be ready to take part (even briefly) in the evening's concert .

Between 6pm and 8pm supper will be served and participants and band members can socialise, practise or relax before the concert. If you are interested but feel you would like more information before deciding to take part, please use the booking form to make contact and we will arrange to discuss it with you.

One Response to Music Workshops & Master classes

  1. Ann McLeod says:

I attended the evening concert and I’m so glad I did! What a great sound from the Box Club; couldn’t stop my toes from tapping and very nearly got up to dance! With solos from each musician in turn; it is easy to see why they make a popular group. Great talent and great music; many thanks for sharing them!
