Lost Treasure – Glasgow Short Film Festival 2016 April 21, 2016

This event is at Thurso Cinema

In 1956, Glasgow-based socialist film-making collective the Dawn Cine Group embarked on an ambitious project to tell the story of the Scottish Highlands and its people. Lost Treasure was never completed. Musicians Drew Wright and Hamish Brown alongside film-maker Minttu Mäntynen, present a live performance responding to the 60 year-old unfinished film, weaving existing footage, traditional songs, field and archival recordings of oral history.
